Members Only Free Event Chapter Meeting Program/Speaker Presentation
We'll begin our regular chapter Zoom meeting on Oct. 19 with a special presentation by Shelby Lane-Clark, "Pollinator Selected Evolution of Flower Color." In animals, appearance is often driven by what the opposite sex finds alluring. In many flowering plants, however, the flowers' appearance is all about attracting pollinators, including bees, butterflies, flies and even bats. Shelby, a graduate student in forest ecology and management at Michigan Tech, will discuss who likes what and why. Everyone is welcome to attend Shelby's presentation.
