Woodland Sunflower features two-inch wide sunflowers blooming from mid-summer to fall and is easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in part shade, where it will spread by rhizomes. The plant is easy to cultivate and should be divided every three to four years to control spread and maintain vigor. A wonderful plant for a multitude of bees, butterflies and other pollinators, Woodland Sunflowers also provide a food source for several birds.
