Culver’s Root is tall, adaptable and easily grown with beautiful flowers that occur in July through September when many other plants are not flowering. Pollinators are common visitors to the flowers, which are especially attractive to long and short tongued bees. In a sunny location and to provide a strong accent and good vertical height, combine Culver’s Root with asters, bee balm, cardinal flower, swamp milkweed, goldenrods, and ironweeds. The plants are also a good wildflower for meadows, borders, wetlands and rain gardens.
