Sheri’s goal is to remove all invasive species, and to plant native host and nectar plants for pollinators and other beneficial insects. Her yard is mainly shady to partially shady and will include a veggie garden in the one available sunny spot. There are currently sugar maples and white pines in the overstory and her desire is to plant shrubs, perennial wildflowers, and native grasses and sedges. She would also like to add paper birch and aspen if there is an appropriate space for them. A rain garden to catch all the runoff from the house and garage is also being considered.

Since the goal of Show Me/Help Me is to provide chapter members with thoughts and ideas for their native landscaping journeys, we’re hoping that you can join us on Sunday to share your expertise and gardening experiences with Sheri.
