April 4 Symposium to Feature Heather Holm

Join us for a fascinating series of talks on native plants and the wildlfe that rely upon them at the Ninth Annual Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium. Renowned pollinator advocate Heather Holm will teach how to build “soft landings” under trees to protect bees and other beneficial insects.

We’ll learn how to control mosquitos and support beneficial insects from pollinator conservation expert Aaron Anderson of the Xerces Society.

And anyone who has ever watched helplessly as a tree wastes away in their yard will appreciate RJ LaVerne’s talk on planting the right tree in the right place.

The symposium qualifies for Michigan Extension Master Gardener credits.
