Looking for a little drama in your back border? This is the place. After a nondescript first year (this year, actually, if you decide to add these to your order), biennial gaura leaps up to 6 feet tall and offers pretty sprays of pink and white flowers in September. Being biennial, year two is this plant’s last hurrah, but the seeds disperse readily, so if there’s a place for them to take root, prepare for the show to begin in another year or two.
A host plant for moths and butterflies, Biennial Gaura is also valued by bumblebees and hummingbirds.
