Attractive, adaptable sedge that’s happy in a range of conditions. Like most sedges, it greens up early, providing a burst of color in the garden at a time when grasses are still hibernating. It flops, but will produce new growth after cutting back the down leaves. Something to consider before putting in a formal garden. That said, it’s highly recommended for stabilizing slopes, rain gardens, and naturalizing in meadows.
