Everyone knows about purple coneflowers. Not everyone is familiar with their elegant cousin, pale purple coneflower. Unlike it’s popular relative, E. pallida is a U.P. native and has a different aspect, with languid flowers atop long, sturdy stems. Plus, it blooms a bit earlier, adding a couple weeks to the purple coneflower season—which is never quite long enough, don’t you agree?
